The Milford Fencing Club is an Olympic-fencing club, teaching foil, sabre, and epee. We welcome beginners, as well as experienced competitive fencers, from age 10 to 110.

We strive to make our fencers into well-rounded athletes. We teach not only swordplay, but also discipline and sportsmanship. We hold annual seminars on armory and refereeing.

Our coaches offer group lessons, private lessons, and we host open fencing several times each week. We maintain a club leaderboard and hold regular tournaments. We also travel to other clubs around the state for scrimmages and competitions.

We support the CT high school fencing program, and are the official team for both Foran and Law high schools. The interscholastic season mirrors Winter sports, taking place from October through March, and culminating in several state-level tournaments.

We meet on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We generally have group classes (6-7:30 pm) followed by open fencing (7:30-9 pm). Our classes are usually designed for fencers that have mastered the basics. We schedule introductory classes as needed, based on your schedule.

If you have any questions, or would like to give fencing a try, please contact Head Coach Jay Babcock via email at info@milfordfencing.org or phone at 518-681-7197.
